OpenArt has a strict no-refund policy for consumed credits. You can cancel your subscription at any time through Account Settings, and cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. If you accidentally subscribe to a yearly plan and want to switch to monthly, OpenArt support will process the downgrade and issue a partial refund for unused months, minus a 10% processing fee.
For any refund requests in exceptional cases, contact [email protected]. Note that unused base monthly credits do not roll over when you cancel; they are lost at the end of that billing cycle. Purchased add-on credits above your base allocation do carry over month to month while your subscription is active.

OpenArt is an AI creator studio for generating images, videos, characters, and audio content from text prompts or reference inputs. It was founded in 2022 by former Google engineers Coco Mao (CEO) and John Qiao (CTO) and is based in San Francisco, California. The platform supports over 100 AI models, including GPT Image 2, Seedance 2.0, Kling 3.0, and Nano Banana Pro, accessible through a single browser-based workspace.
The platform's standout feature for US creators and marketers is character consistency - the ability to generate the same character across multiple images and short videos without the visual drift common to other tools. This makes it practical for branded social content, short-form YouTube scripts, TikTok series, and ad creative workflows that require a repeatable visual identity. OpenArt also supports One-Click Story, a feature that turns a prompt, script, or song into a structured video of up to 60 seconds, using three content templates: Character Vlog, Music Video, and Explainer.
All paid plans include commercial use rights, meaning images and videos you generate can be used in client work, ad campaigns, and published content. Subscriptions are billed in USD with no country-specific pricing adjustments.

Yes. New accounts receive 50 free credits on signup, with no credit card required. Free-tier images are private by default and stored for 7 days before deletion, compared to indefinite storage for subscribers. The free tier covers basic image generation; video generation and custom model training typically require a paid plan.
Plans are billed in USD with no regional pricing adjustments. Annual rates are: Essential $7/month, Advanced $14.50/month, Infinite $28/month, Wonder $120/month, and Team Plan $17.40/seat/month. Monthly billing is roughly double those rates. Annual plans save up to 50% and include the same credit allocations as monthly plans at each tier.
Yes. All paid plans include commercial use rights, meaning you own the images and videos you generate and can use them in client work, ad campaigns, and published content. The free plan does not explicitly include commercial rights, so creators doing paid client work should be on a paid tier. OpenArt does not claim ownership of your generated outputs.
Yes. Contact OpenArt support, and they will process a downgrade to monthly billing and issue a partial refund for the unused portion of your annual subscription. A minimum processing fee of 10% applies to cover payment handling costs. For non-accidental cancellations, refunds are not issued, and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
OpenArt's Character Training system lets you define a character once - using prompts, reference images, or preset builders - and reuse it across multiple generations. The character retains the same appearance across different poses, expressions, and outfits. On the Infinite plan, you can maintain up to 80 consistent characters; the Wonder plan supports up to 353. This feature is particularly useful for social media series, brand mascots, and short-form video content where visual continuity matters.
Yes. OpenArt supports text-to-video, image-to-video, and its One-Click Story feature, which generates structured videos up to 60 seconds long using three templates - Character Vlog, Music Video, and Explainer. Standard individual video clips run 5-10 seconds. The platform does not currently support direct video editing within the workspace; any post-generation editing requires external software.
Unused base monthly credits are lost immediately when you cancel or downgrade - they do not roll over. Purchased add-on credits above your base allocation do carry over month to month while your subscription is active, but are also forfeited if you cancel the subscription entirely. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, so you retain access to paid features until that date.
