BT runs three speed tiers on Openreach's full-fibre network: 150Mbps, 500Mbps, and 900Mbps. Full Fibre 150 currently leads the discount sheet at 28.99 pounds per month on a 24-month deal. Full Fibre 500 sits around 34.99 pounds with a Reward Card on selected windows. Full Fibre 900 trades blows with Virgin Media's gigabit cable and Sky's CityFibre option, usually landing close to 50 pounds.
If you're on the older Fibre Essential or Fibre 1 copper-to-cabinet plans (35Mbps to 50Mbps), check whether your address has been upgraded to FTTP since you signed. BT often holds back the cheapest full-fibre rate for genuinely new connections, so a switch can mean an upgrade and a lower monthly bill at the same time.
BT TV is built on a YouView box that pulls Freeview, NOW, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Disney Plus into one guide. The big sell is TNT Sports, which used to be branded BT Sport before the rename. TNT Sports carries Premier League fixtures, UEFA Champions League, Premiership Rugby, and UFC, and it's bundled with HBO Max in the UK on the same subscription.
The Full Works TV pack at 40 pounds per month folds in TNT Sports plus the NOW Entertainment pass and access to HBO Max content. Cheaper packs strip out sports or premium drama. If you only want TNT Sports without a BT TV box, the standalone HBO Max plan with TNT Sports is 30.99 pounds monthly or 25.99 pounds on a 12-month contract.
BT Mobile runs on EE's network, and since the merger most new customers go straight to EE-branded plans. The legacy BT Mobile SIMs still exist on this page, with the 10-pound 20GB SIM as the entry point. For pure speed and 5G reach, EE's own plans are usually the better buy. Vodafone undercuts on price for similar coverage, and Three's data allowances run bigger if data volume matters more than peak speed.
Halo 3 and Halo 3+ are the premium add-ons. Halo 3 includes home tech support, double mobile data on a paired EE SIM, a price promise, and Hybrid Connect 4G backup. Halo 3+ adds Complete Wi-Fi with up to three booster discs and a 100-pound money-back guarantee if the signal still misses a room. Worth it if you work from home and a dropped line costs you a meeting.
BT is migrating every home from the old PSTN copper line to Digital Voice over IP, with the switchover wrapping in 2027. New broadband orders default to Digital Voice. Older customers should expect a letter and a free adapter before the legacy line goes dark.
The eight live offers above the fold cover most of what BT advertises on its own homepage. Here's how they break down.
Top coupon-code offer: No traditional code is needed for most BT deals. The discount applies once you click through to the BT plan-selection page from the listed offer.
Strongest no-code deal: Full Fibre 150 at 28.99 pounds per month on 24 months. Cheapest entry into BT's full-fibre lineup.
Bank or payment savings: Direct Debit is required across the BT lineup. There's no card-specific stack, but paying by Direct Debit avoids the paper-bill surcharge that runs about 3 pounds per month.
App-exclusive offer: The MyBT app handles bill view, Wi-Fi controls, and one-tap upgrades. Existing customers occasionally see in-app loyalty offers when their contract is six weeks from end.
First-time-user discount: Switch from another provider and BT picks up your exit fees, capped near 300 pounds. Reward Cards on selected packages sit alongside this.
Seasonal sale highlight: Black Friday and the early-summer windows are when the Reward Card values spike. The current Reward Card promo runs to 21 May 2026.
Deepest category discount: The Entertainment Plan at 5 pounds per month for 6 months on a 24-month deal is the steepest TV-side cut, although the price jumps to 22 pounds after.
Best for: UK households on or moving onto Openreach Full Fibre who want one bill for broadband, TV with TNT Sports, and a paired EE SIM. Halo 3+ makes this combination especially strong for work-from-home setups.
Be careful if: you're shopping from a US address. BT cannot ship service to a non-UK postcode, the bill comes only in GBP via UK Direct Debit, and customer support routes through UK hours. For short UK trips, a travel eSIM is faster than trying to take a BT SIM. For a UK-based parent or property, you can manage the account remotely once it's set up, but the initial signup needs a UK person on a UK address.
Best saving move: If your address is FTTP-ready, take Full Fibre 500 with the Reward Card window (currently active to 21 May 2026), pair an EE 5G SIM through Halo for the double-data perk, and add TNT Sports only if you actually watch live football or rugby. Skip BT TV otherwise. Streaming through Sky's NOW pass or Netflix on the basic broadband plan is cheaper for most.

BT rarely uses traditional promo codes; most discounts are click-through deals that apply automatically once you start the order. The exceptions are Reward Card promotions and Student Beans codes for university students. If a code does exist, it pastes into a "Got a promo code?" field on the order summary at checkout.
No. BT broadband requires a UK service address, a UK postcode, and a UK Direct Debit. The signup form will block a non-UK address. If you're a US-based reader visiting the UK, a travel eSIM is the practical alternative. If you're managing a UK property remotely, ask whoever lives there to place the order.
BT Full Fibre 500 lists at 49.99 pounds per month at standard pricing on a 24-month contract, but BT often runs it at 34.99 pounds with a Reward Card during promotional windows. Speeds average 500Mbps download. The Smart Hub 2 is included free, and a 4-pound annual price rise applies each April.
TNT Sports is the rebrand of the channel previously known as BT Sport, now operated jointly by Warner Bros. Discovery. It carries Premier League, Champions League, Premiership Rugby, and UFC. BT TV customers can add TNT Sports for 20 pounds per month. The standalone HBO Max plan with TNT Sports runs 30.99 pounds monthly, or 25.99 pounds on a 12-month term.
BT Mobile and EE both run on the same network, since BT acquired EE in 2016. Coverage and 5G performance are identical. EE-branded plans tend to be the focus for new customers, while BT Mobile remains for existing accounts and bundled household deals via Halo. EE leads UK 4G and 5G availability for 2026.
BT Halo is a paid add-on that bundles 4G mobile broadband backup, double mobile data on EE SIMs, home tech support, and a price promise. Halo 3+ adds Complete Wi-Fi with up to three booster discs. Halo costs 10 to 15 pounds extra per month. Worth it for work-from-home households where a dropped fibre line means missed work; less essential otherwise.
BT emails an activation code within 30 working days of your service going live. Activate the digital Mastercard within three months at the BT Reward Card portal, then spend the balance within 12 months. The card works for online and over-the-phone payments wherever Mastercard is accepted. It's not reloadable and offers no cash withdrawal.
Yes to both. UK university students can claim up to 30 percent off student broadband through Student Beans on a 12-month contract using a verified .ac.uk email. Serving personnel, veterans, and defense community members can register with Defence Discount Service for BT-exclusive rates not shown on the public site.
If you're abroad and need UK or international data right now, check Airalo eSIM offers for short-trip data plans that work in the UK without a BT contract. For broader mobile carrier comparison, browse the mobile category hub.
Planning a UK trip alongside the connectivity check? Pull deals from the flights hub, hotels hub, and travel hub. Holiday-window savings cluster around the festival offers page.
Sky, Virgin Media, NOW Broadband, TalkTalk, Plusnet, Hyperoptic, and Community Fibre are BT's main competitors in the UK fixed-line market, but they don't currently have GrabOn pages.
